Lochboisdale Harbour is owned and operated by Lochboisdale Development Limited, (LDL), in South Uist in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. LDL is part of the Stòras Uibhist Group. Stòras Uibhist being the Community landowners of the South Uist Estate and its subsidiary companies, South Uist Estates Ltd, South Uist Renewable Energy Ltd and LDL. All companies with a successful track record of building business and adding value to the community.
Lochboisdale Harbour provides a regionally strategic, world class facilities for the growing tourist industry, our fishing fleet and aquaculture industry. The project included the building of the new harbour, 52 berth pontoons, an 80m quayside, 10m slipway, working area, crane and shower facilities. Fuel and WIFI will be available in the coming months. It is an ideal port of entry for tourists to see the islands or just enjoy the recreational sailing facilities.
The development of the harbour was backed by Comhairle nan Eilean Siar, Highland and Island Enterprise, the Scottish Government and the Big Lottery. The harbour also offers a commercial area providing opportunities for support engineering, light industries and maritime services.

Lochboisdale Harbour is owned and managed by Lochboisdale Development Ltd (LDL), part of the Stòras Uibhist group of companies and is managed in accordance with the LDL Articles of Association. A Harbour Empowerment Order is being processed by the Scottish Government and will be referenced here once granted.
Work continues to improve the facilities in Lochboisdale. The village quayside is to be refurbished this year to give water access and a recreational area. LDL is investigating the best options to exploit the pristine deep waters on the south side of the harbour and the added value facilities that can be provided for Mariners.
